This Messier audio commentary is designed to give you ideas on how to find and observe the Messier objects in your telescopes. You can have all the pictures and text you want, but sometimes hearing someone tell you where to look and what you should see in your eyepiece can be helpful.
This Messier audio will be most useful for people in the northern hemisphere, especially around 30 degrees north latitude. Keep in mind that objects appear in different parts of the sky at different times of the year. Also remember that since I am an amateur astronomer, I have no idea how to pronounce some of the names of celestial objects, feel free to laugh 🙂
My goal is to have all 110 Messier objects in this collection so check back. You can view images of the Messier objects on my astrophotography pages. More information on each of the Messier objects can be found on Wikipedia. If you find any of this Messier audio particularly difficult to follow, or really want to give me any feedback at all, use the contact form and drop me a line. I welcome any feedback.
